Medical Conditions Policy

There are medical conditions which contraindicate massage therapy either locally or absolutely. There are also conditions that require Physician's Permission, verified by a signed Physician's Permission form, prior to receiving or continuing to receive massage therapy.

A local contraindication is a condition such as an open wound or warts, in which a particular area of the body must be avoided.

The most common absolute contraindication is a systemic infectious condition such as the common cold. Massage therapy will not be provided if the client presents with an absolute contraindication.

Every new client is required to complete a Client Intake and Health History form prior to receiving massage therapy and update the therapist as to any changes in her or his medical profile.

We reserve the right to refuse service, modify service, and/or require Physician Permission at any time and by the sole discretion of the therapist.

Appointments

Scheduling Policy

Service is by appointment only, subject to availability and a valid credit card is required to ensure reservation. All (scheduled or rescheduled) appointments are not confirmed until clients receive an email confirmation. One (1) day prior to the session clients will receive an appointment reminder.

Rescheduling Policy

Advance notice is required when rescheduling or canceling an appointment, except in cases of illness or inclement weather.

  • 24 hour - individual session
  • 48 hour - couples massage session
  • 72 hour - massage party

This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, you may be charged the full amount of your scheduled appointment. In cases of illness or inclement weather, 2 hour advance notice of cancellation is required. We also reserve the right to reschedule appointments with 2 hour advance notice due to practitioner illness or if we deem weather conditions unsafe for travel.

No-Shows Policy

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason without advance cancellation notice will be considered a "no-show" and will be charged the full amount for the missed appointment.

Late Arrivals Policy

Please call if you are running late. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the "full" session. If we have not heard from you and you have not arrived within 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, we will assume you are not coming and you will be considered a "no-show".

Privacy Policy

Personal health information is confidential and will never be shared unless requested by you with a signed Release of Health Information Authorization or required by law. Those parties listed by you on your Intake Form as Emergency Contacts will be informed in the case of a medical emergency. A parent or appointed legal guardian of a minor is permitted full access to that minor's protected health information by law.

Client data is securely stored with our scheduling and client tracking software provider, whose Privacy Policy is available here. Data transmissions are encrypted using HIPAA-compliant technologies (HTTPS: 168-bit SSL encryption).

Any information provided to 3rd parties is no longer in the control of Rejuvenating BodyWorks and is subject to that party's privacy policy.

You may request removal from Rejuvenating BodyWork's contact lists by emailing Admin@RejuvenatingBodyWorks.com. If you schedule appointments after requesting removal, you will still receive communications relevant to your sessions, including appointment confirmations and reminders.

Client/Therapist Relationship Policy

We maintain a safe therapeutic space and professional relationships with our clients - one of mutual trust and respect, including respect for personal and professional boundaries.

You, as a client, have the right to expect confidentiality, focus and attention during your sessions, honesty regarding the therapists training, experience and scope of practice, safe therapeutic touch, being properly draped during sessions, a clean and sanitary space, respect for and action on constructive feedback and pressure preferences. You have the right to discontinue therapy and/or terminate any session at any time and for any reason. While there is medical information that we require to provide safe and effective therapy, we respect your personal privacy and you do not need to disclose any personal information.

We expect every client to communicate with us about their goals for massage therapy, any discomfort during sessions, to provide proper advance notice of cancellations, and prompt payment. The purpose of your sessions is assisting you in reaching your wellness goals, and while we are always more than happy to discuss technique, wellness information, and your treatment progress, we request that discussion during sessions is client-centered and our personal privacy is respected. Gifts and social invitations will not be accepted. We understand that unintended physical reactions do occasionally happen during a massage; there is no need to be embarrassed for unintentional reactions. Please be aware that sexual comments, gestures and/or behaviors are not tolerated and requests for sexual services will result in a solicitation report to law enforcement. We reserve the right to terminate a session, discontinue therapy and/or refuse service at any time and for any reason.

Refund

No refunds will be provided on deposits or monies paid. Vouchers and/or gift certificates are also non-refundable and non-transferable.
